I feel Dharma And Karma are Interconnected. Do you feel the same?

I am not a very religious person to start off with. But, I am a believer of energy. I believe that there is some powerful energy that binds us together and the same energy separates us when something has to be detached.

The first time I realized this was when I came across this book called THE SECRET by Rhonda Byrne. It was the very first time I read something about manifestation, gratitude and visualization. I didn’t understand much of it when I read it for the first time. I reread it thrice, until I could make some sense on what the author was trying to convey. I must agree it changed my thought process forever. I could understand why we were always made to believe “You reap what you sow”.

I was always intrigued when I read “You create your reality”in my early 20’s. But once I started feeling grateful for every small and big thing that came into my life. There was a major shift in the way I started looking at everything and anyone. Now I am grateful for all the experiences I had good or bad. Every experience was unique, and I am who I am because of those experiences.

I slowly realized that my mom always taught me about KARMA from childhood. She always told me “Don’t be happy when you do something and you escape from getting your due , nature always has its own way of teaching you a bigger lesson for a minor mistake”. She used all her power to influence me with some examples, but back then I never understood the intensity of it. But, now I believe with all of my heart that everything has a reason and it is a result of our past actions.

I was always a mischievous one in the family and being a girl comes with additional security around you. So, everyone around me always told me how to behave around elders, what to do and how I should take care of the younger one. But, there came a point when I started questioning it. Why should I always take the responsibility every time I and my brother committed mistakes together. In early 20’s, there came a day when I saw my dad in the ICU for the first time I understood why I should take the responsibility of anything I and my brother do together. Then I subconsciously understood the weightage of the word DHARMA for the first time. My way of looking at it is just be conscious when you do something.

So according to my understanding, just the way Karan and Arjun are inseparable in our good old Hindi movie, I think DHARMA and KARMA go hand in hand.

DHARMA IS THE ACTION AND KARMA IS THE REACTION.

I believe that, this is how it is.

If you have a different way of looking at this. I would love to know about it!
